FLASH FICTION PROMPT
"Need a lift?" The old red pickup rumbled to a stop beside the beaten wooden bench. "It's a ways into town, but I'm headed up that way."
"I couldn't impose." The young man rolled up from the bench in a single movement. He shrugged his shoulders out as if to get the blood flowing once more. "If you don't mind..."
"Not at all." The older man clicked the locks open and waited.
"Thanks." The fellow gave a faint smile as he skipped around to the other side of the truck and climbed in. "Early to be heading into town." He said, by way of conversation.
The bearded fellow offered a shrug of his own. "Feels like a storm coming in." He answered.
"Good to see you again."
"Good to see you too, gramps."
